Research: My research interests focus on using ancient DNA to identify paleopathologies and to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between Indigenous groups and their environment, particularly concerning nutritional practices before European contact. Additionally, I am interested in tracing the different waves of migration in the Northern Andes (Ecuador) and comparing genetic variability among ancient populations across the Andean region.
